It’s just been one of those weeks.

I have eaten food that is high in sugar, loaded with saturated fats, and contains more salt than ever before.  It didn’t help that I had midterms, presentations and papers due every day (side note—I’m a stress-eater).  However, what really upsets me is that I didn’t think once to take my advice from my previous post.  It’s okay to have those weeks where vegetables are figments of your imagination, but, for me at least, I need to do some type of exercise otherwise I start to feel sorry for myself.  Therefore, to boost my morale this week, I’ve decided to follow this calendar that my sister emailed me on Friday:
It’s not much, and I will probably try to add some cardio in there as well, but having what I need to do planned out each day will help me succeed.  So what are your thoughts? Have you ever kicked yourself for doing or not doing something? What did you do to make up for it?

  1. I think even just a little bit of movement during stressful weeks is helpful. With commuting, school, observations and two jobs, I usually don't have time to exercise the way I want to. To make up for it, I park my car in further lots in further spots so I have extra walking to do because even just walking is healthy. I also eat a lot of fruit, and I try to lay off the sugar as well. I'm a stress eater too and during finals week, nothing looks better than chocolate chip cookies. Luckily, my blog has helped me find some healthier baking recipes that I can use during weeks like these so I don't feel so guilty all the time.

  2. I can relate. There were many times this weekend that I overindulged in unhealthy foods. But I tried not to be too hard on myself. I'm the same in that I need to exercise in order to not feel too guilty about my overindulgence. So this weekend I went to a Zumba class. I forced myself to get up Sunday morning and I ended up feeling better for it. I would suggest that if anyone has every felt this way, find an exercise that you enjoy doing. I know that works for me.
